Vancouver Orca

For one of the assignments we had two weeks to do an set extension assignment. I chose to replace the Orca statue at the sea wall in Downtown Vancouver with a CG one and to have it falling apart with dynamics in Maya. I filmed early in the morning using the Canon 5D Mark II and Canon EF 20mm lens. Also shot an HDRI using Canon 8-15mm Fisheye Lens and an 360 Precision Atome. I used a Ikan DS1 stabilizer when filming. This shot was tracked in PFTrack and the modeling and simulation was done in Maya. Diana Valencia helped me with the simulation using bullet in Maya. Also a thanks to my mentors and feedback at Vancouver Film School, Melissa Best, Craig Shiells, and Casey Kwan.
